Squarell Flex multisource vehicle data interface

Operating data from your vehicles' CAN bus

A fleet management solution can be used more efficiently if, for example, kilometres driven can be automatically charged to the correct cost centre. The vehicle service garage can plan maintenance more efficiently if the current mileage is known. Fuel refuelling can be checked using up-to-date data.

Function

A vehicle data interface reads the data required by the fleet operator from a vehicle data bus and transfers it in a standardised form to a storage or communication solution. The operator therefore does not have to worry about the differences between vehicle manufacturers and models.

One solution for your entire fleet

The vehicle data interface is the same for all vehicles. It is updated with the latest firmware on a PC with Internet access and configured to the vehicle manufacturer or manufacturer group with just a few clicks.

-manufacturer or manufacturer group.

Automatic recognition of the vehicle

The Flex recognises the exact vehicle type automatically. The Flex also automatically learns the maximum and minimum levels of the fuel gauge, for example, in order to determine the correct fill level.

Reusability of your purchase

If you replace your vehicles, you do not have to do this with the vehicle data interface! After a firmware update, configuration reset and reconfiguration, the Squarell Flex is ready for use again. New vehicle models are continuously added to the software.

Contactless functionality is covered by the manufacturer's warranty

Many car manufacturers prohibit the connection of third-party devices to their vehicle data buses and disclaim any liability in the event of accidents. However, the Flex from Squarell only encloses the data bus cables in a special clip, the CANCLIQ and optionally the DATACLIQ. These listen to the data traffic via a so-called capacitive coupling without establishing an electrical connection to the cable.

Configuration in the workshop

The iUpload configuration software is easy to use and allows even someone who does not deal with the subject on a daily basis to configure a Squarell Flex correctly within five minutes. All you need is a Windows PC with an RS-232 port, Internet access and a user account on the Squarell server.

Vehicle installation with documentation

Illustrated quick installation guides are available for many vehicles. In most cases, the connections to the power supply and the CANCLIQ are sufficient to make the data available at the RS-232 interface.

Perfect protection against external influences

In commercial vehicles and in everyday working life, it can sometimes get wet in the vehicle. The Squarell Flex is ideally equipped for this with protection class IP65 and is also sufficiently temperature-resistant at -40° to +85°.

Vehicle type support

The list of supported vehicles is very long (ask us). Supported data records are, for example, mileage, fuel level, current consumption, speed or engine speed.
