Features
The SmartGPS5-M8N is a complete GPS/Glonass receiver module with RS-232 interface and selectable protocol. Its compact external dimensions make it very versatile. The ability to receive Glonass or BeiDou position data in addition to GPS means that the receiver can be used worldwide and guarantees optimum reception.

A serial interface is available, which can be configured to different bit rates and protocols as required. The NEO-M8N GPS/Glonass module from u-blox is the centrepiece of the SmartAntenna. It is a 72-channel receiver with very low power consumption and excellent reception characteristics.

The receiver also has low-power operating modes that can be configured in a variety of ways in order to be optimised for the respective applications.

PC software is available for configuring the SmartGPS5-M8N receiver.

Whether high receiver sensitivity is important for position data even under difficult reception conditions, or the focus is on minimising acquisition time with a high update rate (up to 10 positions per second): The SmartGPS5-M8N covers practically all requirements with its 3 sensitivity modes.

Housing
Enclosure versions with side cable entry (model CTX2069A) or centre hole mounting (model CTX2070A) are available.

Both housing variants are splash-proof.
